How to find Tranquility in a cup!

With this chill in the air, (up here in the North), I woke today feeling inspired to create a new organic concoction.  I'm calling it Tranquility Tea ☕
Today's Features:
Fresh herbs used:  (I had them on hand - can be replaced with dried)
  • Lemon Balm (Melissa officinalis)
  • Lemon balm, from the family Lamiaceae, is one of the oldest medicinal plants.  It is native to the eastern Mediterranean region and western Asia.
  • According to legend, the 16th-century Swiss-German physician and philosopher, supposedly said that lemon balm is more precious than gold!
  • Healing Effects:
  •  Recommended for heart problems and joylessness
  • Calms, balances mood, and relieves anxiety
  • Used to treat menstrual and menopausal difficulties
  • Alleviates stomach cramps
  • Effective against colds
  • It can ease sleep disturbances (especially if heartache is the cause), calming the 'thinking pains' and heart palpitations associated with anxiety and feelings that are difficult to process.
  • It also helps if sleep disturbances are accompanied by digestive issues.
  • No known side effects.

Tranquility Tea
A few sprigs of Lemon Balm & Peppermint
1/2 tablespoon Ashwagandha
1/2 tablespoon St. John's Wort
1/2 tablespoon Lemongrass
1 tablespoon Rosehips
1 tablespoon Raspberry Leaf
1 tablespoon Spearmint
1 tablespoon Stevia Leaf
Add to pot of 8 cups filtered water (preferably), simmer for approximately 15 minutes, then allow to cool.  Strain into glass jars or bottle, and store in refrigerator.
*This will be a very concentrated liquid.  I added 2 cups of tea to a glass pitcher, then topped up with more filtered water.
**If a stronger flavour of lemon is desired, add a few drops of organic lemon extract, or edible essential oil.
